They ran out of wings ... on wings night... tisk tisk... and then once everyone paid up (on one bill) the waitress said we still owed $... its really to bad, I love the trap and gill for its music and feel... but no wings on a wing night...
Finally !!! ...a good place to go on friday for wings after work.
Went there today [friday feb 10 2012] after seeing they just started the wings on friday special after 3pm, and was very impressed, compared to some of the wing nights at other places on mcleod trail lately on different nights ...pink wings inside, with black bones cant be healthy, and i've gotten those at a couple other places recently ...yuck.
The wings here were big, and cooked very well.
Flavours were good, and the service was very friendly.
Have'nt been to trap and gill for a long time, and noticed they also have a fish and chips day,

Might not be the best price in town (according to this site) but they are some of the biggest and tastiest wings. Lots of flavours.. and you can mix and match sauce. Yum! Try the Salt&Peper with hot dip or Teriyaki/Hot. And to to mention the staff are great and the beer is cold.
Yes , the regular price has changed to $10.00/Lb so far as I can tell. Still think these are among the best wings in the city, but it's a shame about the "cold" atmosphere .
One thing I want to point out about the "Trap"; is that they have the best "regular price" for wings in the city. I think $0.35 cents a wing is excellent for the quality of their wings.
I went to the Trap for 2nd time to try their wings, and I must say they really are excellent ! A sleeve of Canadian was also on sale for $3.50 , so it was certainly good value. The wings are plump & the flavours very good. These larger wings are breaded, but they're not dry like those at Black Swan and House & Hound. If you haven't been here before, you should definitely give it a try !
Male servers are attentive, while the gals chat with their gurlfrends ....
I just signed up to say I totally agree with this review.
Really plump wings, and I like them more than almost any place in town.
But they need to fire all the waitresses and find some who want to look after the customer! It really pisses me off. Thankfully the guys at the bar make up for it. And the wings.
