Donegal Irish Pub

I hate this chain of wannabe Irish pubs. Shitty food, expensive drinks and fuck head employees.

Chain includes: Donegal, Limericks, Dixons, The Seanachie, The Joyce and The Kilkenny.

They're all the same. Don't bother. They suck.

I have yet to find an Irishy Irish pub in Calgary... one that, at least, plays some Celtic music.

Oh, their wings are the worst... I'd rather eat poo. Read the rest of the comments on any of these bars.... their mostly negative.

The WORST servers in the industry! They are all complete b****es and the wings are not even worth 1 cent, let alone 9 cents - just like the cheap rib nights. Will never go there again unless the manager can hire servers who believe in customer service!

The wings and pretty much all of the other food here is bland. But it's pub food, so don't expect anything much?
The drinks are way overpriced. And try to find out how much they cost before ordering - good luck.
The service is slow. If you have a couple of hours to waste, then I guess it's OK.
This is a typical trend of restaurants in Calgary, poor food, poor service, way overpriced. Stay at home and make something instead.

Terrible service. I got 1 drink over the period of an hour being there.

Terrible Wings. Raw and uncooked inside.

Odd policy about taking your leftover food home when you are done (you're not allowed to take wings home).

I would never recommend an establishment like this to anyone I know, unless I hated them.

It was explained to us that most places sell the wings less than cost. It is usually a dine in special so they can sell booze. If they let people take wings home people would just order too many on purpose. Why would you give it away?

So you think they should just throw away or reuse the wings? Both options are irresponsible.

If they want to sell more booze, then they should lower their prices. Especially at Donegal. A domestic beer is over $7 for a glass. They are the MOST expensive place in Calgary for drinks. Even their soda pop is $3.50 a glass.

If a policy is daft it should be changed. No matter what the reason.

The wings were terrible, and it took over a half an hour to get them. Undercooked and raw on the inside. The second batch weren't terrible, but we weren't allowed to take our paid for leftovers home???!! Like WTF? The stupidest policy I have ever hear of, come pay for food that you can't take home. I would NEVER go there ever again.
